Geocache Description:

Knockbracken Reservoir is the first stop for water on its way from Ben Crom Reservoir in the Mournes and was built at the turn ot the twentieth century to supply the drinking and industrial needs of a rapidly expanding Belfast. Holding around 100 million gallons it is approximately a mile dander around. (most of you should manage that!)

Cache is a sample bottle covered in black gaffer tape with a magnet attached, containing only a log, however I'm sure you could squeeze in a small swap if you desired. Not an overly busy place but there are usually one or two folk about. Being a reservoir there is obviously deep water associated so please be careful with wee people and pets. Take care when retrieving and replacing cache coz if you drop it then it's probably gone. While you're here you might as well find "Water From The Mournes" and/or "Dam School" as they're really close!
