So, my daughter made a geocache out of some things I had in my geocache tool box and this is where she wanted to hide it. Most of my other caches have some sort of theme or story to them but I couldn’t think of anything clever for this one. So here is some random info for people like me who enjoy learning about new places and things from what people write in geocache descriptions:
This cache is hidden behind the corner of Toft and Orchard in Antioch. Not the most popular corner in Antioch but not under appreciated. The foundation of the first water tower is still there. A tank is proudly displayed at the corner representing our veterans. Craft fairs and street festivals take place here. The post office is just next door. And in the winter Santa Claus sets up shop for the kids to visit. All that seemed to be missing was a geocache. So take a detour and check out this little corner of Antioch.
Oh, I also hear bison used to roam these parts. Maybe you’ll find one of those around here too.
