Schöner Tradi im Stiefingtal, der zu einer verborgenen Stelle im Wald führt, die eines Caches würdig ist.

Mein erster Cache führt euch in meine Heimatregion, das Stiefingtal und das Ziel des Caches liegt ganz in der Nähe von der idyllischen Marktgemeinde St.Georgen an der Stiefing.
Von Naturteichen bis zum Erlebnisschwimmbad, von der guten steirischen Gaststätte bis zum Buschenschank, vom Reitklub bis zum
Beachvolleyballplatz - das Angebot im Stiefingtal ist vielfältig.
Insider wissen das schon lange und erfreuen sich an der lieblichen Landschaft.
Das kulturelle Angebot kann sich ebenfalls sehen lassen. So gilt St. Georgen an der Stiefing, in dessen Schloss der Dichter Paul Ernst lange gelebt hat, als literarisches Zentrum der Region und auch andere Orte des Stiefingtales haben so einiges zu bieten.
Die Natur als Erholungsfaktor wird gepflegt, sodass man manchmal meint, in einem großen Garten zu wandeln. Erlebnisgärtnereien, Biotope und mannigfaltiger Blumenschmuck verstärken diesen Eindruck, wohl deshalb fühlen sich immer mehr Naturliebhaber, Erholungssuchende und Künstler von dieser wunderschönen Gegend angezogen.
 
Natürlich gibt es auch hier kleine, versteckte Schmuckstücke an Plätzchen, die eines Caches würdig sind. Dieser hier führt euch an den sogenannten „Obloss“. Einem kleinen, verborgenen Ort, an dem zuviel Wasser abgelassen und in einer Art See aufgefangen wird. Je nach Wasserlage, ist der See voller oder sogar relativ leer und legt das Wurzelwerk vieler Bäume frei. Etwas versteckt an der Stiefing, werdet ihr euch einen Zugang suchen müssen und dann zwischen Wald und Wasser hoffentlich ein Döschen finden.  Parken könnt ihr bei den angegebenen Koordinaten (Hauptschule St.Georgen an der Stiefing) und ihr geht weiter in Richtung der Cache Koordinaten. Ihr überquert dabei die Bundesstrasse und findet einen Forstweg, der entlag der Stiefing führt. Der Zugang ist etwas versteckt, als kleiner Hinweis „über ein schmale Brückchen musst du gehen…“. Um das Final zu finden, musst du die Brückchen verlassen.

Die Koordinaten sind aufgrund des Waldes etwas ungenau, aber sobald ihr den „Obloss“ gefunden habt, seid ihr richtig.

New cords because the other cache box drowned due to high water N 46° 52 20 73 E 15° 33 48 87 NEW CACHE CORDS!!!! My first caches leads you to my home region „Stiefingtal“ and the  final cache is near the idyllic village St.Georgen an der Stiefing in Southern Styria.
From nature lakes up to a big puclic pool, from excellent Styrian restaurants to the typical local „Buschenschank“, horse back riding clubs or beach volleyball – the offers of the Stiefingtal are various.
Insider have known that for a long time and enjoy the lovely landscape.
Also the cultural offers can be put in appearance. St.Georgen, where the poet Paul Ernst had lived in the local  castle for a long period of time, is known as the literary centre of the region and also other places of the Stiefingtal have a lot to offer.
The nature is mantained as a recreation factor, therefor it seems sometimes that you are walking through gardens. Eventgardening, biotopes and varicoloured flower decorations strengthen that expression, maybe that’s the cause why many artists or nature lovers feel attracted by that wonderful region.
Of course there are also small, hidden gems of places, who deserve having a cache. This one leads you to the so called „Obloss“. A small and hidden place, where too much water is drained off and caught in some sort of lake. Depending on the amount of water, the lake is fuller or relatively empty and shows off the root systems of all the trees there. Quite hidden next to the little stream „Stiefing“, you have to search for the entry and have to seek between wood and water for finding the box.  You can park your cachemobile at the given parking coordinates (School centre of St.Georgen) and go ahead to the coordinates of the cache. You have to cross a main street and can find a small forest road, leading along the Stiefing. The access is a bit hidden, but as a little hint „you have to go across some little bridges“…For finding the final you have to leave those bridges.
The final coordinates are a bit imprecise because oft he wood, but as soon as you have found the „Obloss“ you are perfectly right.
