Follow Shady Lane to the dirt lane that leads to a parking area near a cabin in the woods. The cache is in the woods, but the terrain is very walkable and child-friendly.
This is the first cache placed by the boy scouts and the cub scouts of Troop 622. Both scouting and geochaching are family-friendly. We are trying to get our scouts interested in geocaching,and more boys interested in scouting. All of the original items were chosen and donated by the scouts. This cache is placed on the grounds of the George D. Keller Memorial Association. George D. Keller was the first scout master for this troop. This troop has been in existence for over 80 years.
I hope that you come out and find our cache, and consider joining in the fun of scouting as well.
In scouting we practice "leave no trace," please remember to cache-in, trash out. We would like to thank you in advance for keeping our grounds clean. There is a "first to find" coin in this cache. Please log the coin so the boys can follow.
