Kaa is an Indian Python who twice attempts to trap Mowgli in his coils in order to eat him. He does this through the use of hypnotic eyes. His attempts to eat Mowgli end in failure, the first time when he is stopped by Bagheera and the second when Shere Khan stops by and inspects Kaa’s coils.
