Dubois was originally named "Never Sweat" by the locals because of the warm winds that blow through the valley. It was later re-named by the US postal service to a more acceptable name, Dubois. The town has a rich history that includes fur trapping, mountain men, Butch Cassidy, logging, true cowboys, and tourism. Today the locals enjoy the beautiful landscape, town rodeos, big game hunting, fishing and living life in the Wild West. For you to enjoy your time in the Wild West, please Gear Up before going in the outdoors by locating the local geocaches.
The cache is placed on the property with the owner’s permission. Nearby is a building that once served as a movie theater in the 1940’s, later a roller skating rink, the Ladies Auxiliary headquarters and the business you see now. Stop in and say hello and check out the original wood floors.
You are looking for a hidden peanut tin with a log sheet and room for small travel bugs and coins. Please return the cache and keep it well hidden.
