Geocache Description:

The cache is placed inside a dense forest full of exotic birds, huge trees and with a great view of the mountains. If you like nature like we do, you will definitively enjoy this.
By far, the most interesting attractions here are the quetzal birds, which fly freely throughout the area, eating "aguacatillo" fruits.

Quetzals are strikingly colored birds in the trogon family. They are found in forests and woodlands, especially in humid highlands. - Wikipedia

The first waypoint is where you should park your car. You should then go inside the "Mirador de Quetzales" farm, and ask permission at the reception to go through the trail.

They have two trails, the cache is in the second one: The first one you can do on your own if you want to see the waterfalls and hike for some time in the forest, and the second one is the one full of aguacatillo trees where the quetzals feed. We very highly recommend that you take the guided tour (costs about $6/person) for the second one, as there are no signs and few clear trails inside, and it will increase the chance of seeing quetzals by about 4X. Again, we hid the cache in the second one, the "Quetzal watching" tour.

This area is very humid during winter and is at about 2,750 meters above sea level (about 9,022 feet), so bring warm clothes and hiking shoes.

It might help to use a flashlight to find this cache....
