Geocache Description:

This multicache is placed on part of the Clyde Walkway between Blantyre and Bothwell.

The Clyde Walkway runs from Glasgow to New Lanark and is 65K long.

This 3 part multicache lies along part of the route between Blantyre and Bothwell. We wanted to share our experience of this part of the walkway with fellow geocachers. What you will discover, if you don't already know about it, is quite poignant.

During your walk take time to admire the salmon leaping at the weir near the David Livingstone memorial or visit Bothwell Castle which is run by Historic Scotland. More information about this famous castle can be found here http://www.historic-scotland.gov.uk

If you're lucky you may see some otters playing in the Clyde, grey herons fishing or cormorants drying their wings.

Along the way you'll find out all about Tiny.

There is a little bit of work for you to do before you find the final cache. The first set of coordinates will take you to a nano cache which will give you coordinates for the second part of the cache. At the second part of the cache you will find a date.

A  = Second digit of the month
B = Third digit of the year
C = First digit of the month
D =Fourth digit of the year
E = Second digit of the year minus the first
F = Third digit of the year

To find the final cache you need to work out the following:

N55° 48.ABC  W004° 05.DEF

The paths can be quite muddy when the weather is wet so wellies wouldn't go amiss! Good Luck!
