There's electricity in the air! We've all heard that, now you're going to prove it! Nestled in a quiet spot on a used-to-be tree, you'll find the cache box which contains the Amazing Electric Rock and instructions on its use. If you can work up enough energy, the cache itself will be released to you.
I brought a few of these unique rocks with me from the slate fields of eastern PA. Known for their high content of piezoelectric crystals, these rocks can store a small amount of electric charge, which is used in this cache to trigger the release mechanism. This cache uses no outside electricity and has no batteries, so YOU CANNOT GET SHOCKED. It is completely safe! Cache contains a log & pen, plus some small items. Travel bugs could rest here. Please make sure the rock is back inside the box when you're done! Best accesed from the top of the paved walking trail just off Simpson Dr. Suggested parking is across the road at the little brick phone building.
