Jim Thorpe Beach Travel Bug Hotel Traditional Cache
sec0ps: Finally had a chance to check on this when the area was muggle free. It is indeed gone. CO and one of our friends who have found this previously looked for 10 minutes in the surrounding area and came up empty. With a sad heart we're archiving this as some of our river adventuring friends have told us that they've witnessed people moving it. It survived hurricane Sandy, but wasnt able to survive one more year of muggles. :/ There was some trash in the area but zero evidence of the cache, travel bugs or any of the logs.

This cache is located along the Jim Thorpe Beach, where kayaks, canoes, rafts & innertubes launch for a lazy ride down the Lehigh River. This cache is well camoflouged. Please if you take a travel bug/coin leave a travel bug/coin. Please rehide as good or better than found, specifically make certain to please cover with rocks provided, as this helps conceal the cache. This area an be muggle heavy at certain times of the season, so please use stealth. PARKING Parking can be found in one of three places to obtain this cache. One is Jim Thorpe Parking lot, downtown Jim Thorpe, which is a PAID parking lot most of the time. Second option is to park at a PAID meter, also in downtown Jim Thorpe. The third, which is FREE, is to park in Lehigh Gorge State park, as close to the 'train trestle bridge' as you choose and pick up the trail heading towards Jim Thorpe from there. Whichever you choose, enjoy your walk. It is a nice smooth surface, stroller, bike, furry friend friendly (please remember to clean up after your pet). Some of the caches will require you to climb, or venture on pine needle covered surfaces. Please use caution and venture at your own risk!
