islander1988: Well, since the cache appears to be missing (one log indicating the billboard the cache was hidden on is gone), and there is not much to see at this metro stop without the Euro 2012 ball that is long gone, it's probably time to put this cache to rest. There are many more interesting and nice places in Kyiv to take cachers to. Thanks to all the past finders!

Geocache Description:

Another quick cache near a metro station in Kyiv, at Osokorky on the Green Line.

In the summer of 2012, Ukraine and Poland co-hosted the Euro 2012 Football (Soccer) Championships. In the days leading up to the event, new signs appeared, welcome posters went up throughout the city, and soccer balls on pedestals showed up in various locations. One of these was near Osokorky metro station.


The ball is gone now, but the cache name I'll leave in honour of when it was there.
The cache is a black magnetic micro attached to the support pillar of a billboard. Muggles should be less of a problem than usual, but please make sure the cache is reattached well when you replace it so it doesn't fall off and get lost. Note that you will need to cross an on ramp to access the cache, so be sure to use the crosswalk at the sidewalk following the road and be careful there are no cars coming (do not assume cars will stop).
