Geocache Description:

1 Litre Sistema cache with great views in a location rarely visited by locals and almost never by unknowing visitors

Strangely enough we had lived in the area for almost 8 years before discovering this little gem of a location. After the sunset views from our once favourite Ingram’s Rock were marred by the development of the new Beechworth Correctional Centre this was a welcome find. The evening views over the surrounding countryside are very rewarding, maybe pack a picnic if you are planning on ding this towards the end of the day.

The 1 Litre Sistema cache was placed with our 5 year old children, our 2.5 year old sat out the last 30 metres. Once at GZ the cache is relatively easy to locate. The gently ascending path from the bottom of the trail leads to a large granite plateau which you need to traverse (don't worry it is large and flatish) before descending on the other side. Park your vehicle at S 36°21.574 E 146°38.677 and look for the track leading into the bush (do not follow the fence line.

Watch out for wildlife and large (and I mean large) boulders at the top of the track (cach is approx 280 from parking) that look set to topple at any time.

At the time of placing cache includes a variety of trinkets, magnets, log, pen, badge, incense holders etc.
