Another great swimming, fishing and snorkeling spot in the Albany area is where you will find this cache.
Mistaken Island is found at the eastern side of Goode Beach, approximately 120 metres from Vancouver peninsula and covers an area of approximately 30 acres.
The snorkeling in the deep water off these rocks and along the south side of the island is really good and the beach can be accessed via a short path from the car park. The beach is clean and swimming is safe for all levels of swimmers. So for a quiet afternoon in the sun, head out to this beach and enjoy.
The area adjacent to the island is used to cultivate mussels on long lines on licenses issued by the Department of fisheries and leases issued by the Albany Port Authority.
The cache is a family and kid friendly and final location was chosen by Geo-Joey, his (and our) first hide. Please take care navigating the rocks as there are some slippery rocks. Enjoy the ocean, and if you are lucky enough, as we were, you may spot some dolphins.
