Use your imagination (if you are old enough, you do not need to) right here at this spot, once stood a road, not just any road - a one way straight street. Picture a typical summer Friday or Saturday night, both sides of the street lined with cars and people. All of a sudden you hear the scream of Dave the Dude's '69 Cuda roaring down the impromptu drag strip whupping up on the competition. Many a summer night that did happen right here at this spot. I actually was able to ride shotgun for several of his races. Yeppers it was extremely dangerous and yes people did get injured. Oh, but the thrill. Then the boys in blue would roll on to the start line, lights a flashing - everyone splitting lickety split like. Many times assembling hours later for more thrills.
Today the only thing moving in this area are the bikes on the bike trail, deer from Times Beach and Tift Nature Preserve and turkeys - I seen a half dozen huge ones running away from me as I placed this cache.
Parking is available nearby, enjoy finding the cache and letting your imagination hear the roar!
