JERNBANE BROEN
Aalestrup by er vokset op omkring jernbanen, der blev indviet i 1893.
Jernbanen går fra Viborg til Løgstør, og blev indtil 1961 brugt til gods- som persontransport.
Herefter kun til godstransport, banen er nu nedlagt og har ikke været anvendt siden 1999.
Den gamle banelinie bliver nu anvendt som natursti.

FISKESTI – HANDICAPSTI
Fiskestien i Simested Ådal er den første af sin slags i Danmark. Stien blev etableret i 1993 og er placeret ved
Lille Restrup Hovedgaard. Det er en befæstet (fast) sti med kulslagger som underlag. Stiens længde er ca. 600
m. Langs stien er der 4 fiskepladser, som også kørestolsbrugere uhindret kan fiske fra.
LILLE RESTRUP HOVEDGARD (åbent hver søndag eftermiddag fra 14-17)
Lille Restrup Hovedgaard´s historie kan føres tilbage til 1400-tallet. Af tidligere ejere kan blandt andet nævnes
Kong Christian den Anden, som har haft gården som krongods. I 1868 opførtes den nuværende hovedbygning
i kampesten, og den er den eneste af sin art og størrelse i Danmark. Arkitekturstilen er sandsynligvis
engelsk inspireret. De østlige avlsbygningers nordlige del kan føres tilbage til ca. år 1750. De resterende bygninger
er opført efter brand i 1950.

RAILWAY BRIDGE
Aalestrup-town has grown up about the railway that was opened in 1893.
The railway goes from Viborg to Løgstør, and was used for until 1961 cargo- as person transport.
After this only to cargo transport, the track is now closed and hasn't been used since 1999.
The old railway line is now used as a nature path.

FISHING PATH- HANDICAP PATH
Fishing path in Simested Ådal is the first of its kind in Denmark.
The path was established in 1993 and is placed together with Little Restrup Hovedgaard.
It's a fortified (firmly) path with coal cinders such as support.
The path's length are about 600 m.
Along the path there are 4 fishing grounds, that also wheel-chair users unimpeded can fish from.
LITTLE RESTRUP HOVEDGARD (openly each Sunday afternoon from 14-17)
Little Restrup Hovedgaard's history can be traced back to the 14th century.
By more former owners can for instance be mentioned Kong Christian the 2. Who has had the farm as crown lands.
In 1868 the present main building was performed in granite boulders, and it's the only one of its kind and size in Denmark
Architecture style has probably English inspired.
The eastern growing buildings' northern share can be traced back to about year 1750.
The remaining buildings have been performed after a fire in 1950.
