The Hyde Park Historical Society requested that we hide a cache at this historical site. So we did. You are looking for a bison tube just hanging around somewhere. Just has a log so bring a pen. Return the cache back to the way you found it. Please respect this historical structure.
This is a replacement cache so the container type and location has been changed.
We have received permission from the Assistant Superintendent for Business from the school district to place this cache at this site.
*** Important Restriction:
The grounds at North Park Elementary are open from dawn to dusk, but no one can come on the grounds from 8:30-4:00 when school is in session.
The Little Red Schoolhouse

The Little Red Schoolhouse was built in 1845 with classes starting in 1847. It was formerly on Crum Elbow Road at Cardinal Road in East Park. The Town of Hyde Park Historical Society rescued this one-room school house from demolition in 1972 and moved it to the grounds of the North Park Elementary School, Route 9G, Hyde Park, NY.
Tours of this school house are available. Open House events are held during the summer and fall.
