Tarraleah is a an old Hydro town in the central highlands of Tasmania. The township was built in the 1930's to give residence to the workers building the many dams, powerstations and associated infrastructure in the area. The school building near the cache location was my first school - although it was grade one and I can't remember much other than walking down the hill behind the cache to school.
Tarraleah has been turned into a tourist town, with access to the local activities of trout fishing, boating, bushwalking and kayaking. There was a nice little golf course that was one of the highest in Australia. (It was also one of the wetest golf courses in Australia)
Have fun finding this cache, it is only a short walk from the car park (and accomodation)
