This cache takes you near to the river on the road from Burnett Heads to The Port just before the bridge. It is a shady quiet spot to rest awhile. The cache is a magnetic micro. There is no room for swaps or a pencil so please bring your own pen.
Nearby are some important maritime facilities. The local base for the Marine Rescue organisation as well as the public boat ramps are here. Just across the road there is a boat storage and repair facility beside the Fishermans Club.Plenty of nearby picnic spots make this a good place to spend a few restful hours and take in the views of the nearby river. A short drive over the recently built bridge brings you to Bundaberg Port and Marina. All facilities for visting boaties from around the world are provided. Bulk sugar loading installations are also based here. This newly completed bridge enables an interesting round trip through Burnett Heads and the Port back to Bundabrerg. If any geocacher knows why the name 4BU Park or who James Marshall was please share the info in your log.
