Beware the Thunder Cats! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nighthawk700: I finally got over to the park today, sorry for the delay. Unfortunately it looks like the cache container was taken. The cache has had a decent run, so I'll archive it in case others want to place a cache in the area.

Geocache Description:

This cache was placed for a CITO in Ft. Armistead Park, and for afterward.

To get to this cache, you'll need to walk down the beach a bit. From the looks of the sand, there are times the water comes up pretty high. I don't know if the path only becomes covered with water during a storm, or if it's tidal. I'll keep an eye on logs and update if I hear there are issues.

The name of this cache refers to paw prints I've seen in the sand. I've heard there are feral cats in this park. These paw prints look like cat prints. Because of that, I did *NOT* hide the caches in the rocks, as I suspect there may be cats in there. Please do not stick your hands in the rocks, the cache isn't there.

While in the area, enjoy looking out on the river. This is a busy shipping channel. Every time I've been here, there have been multiple ships coming and going.

You are looking for a camouflaged Bison Tube. Park is open sunrise to sunset only. There are some characters who "cruise" in the parking lot, but if you leave them alone, they ignore you.
