Geocache Description:

The begging of the rout that is part of the mayan Yizraels hike.

The British school of archiology along with the Tel aviv universety have reopend the tel Jezarel for digging,the aim is to search the outside hills and area around,and not just within the walls as previously done.This I think is wise,because the outside area is rich in mozague floors and anchiant baths and oil presses.The entire hill from the tel,in all directions is coverd with artifacts that show of a very well established city.A city with a view,and a place well worth wondering around,before hikeing down to the spring.Also the very beggining of kibbuts yizrael,was built amongst the ruins of the old city,before the building of the original kibbuts on the spot that it sits today.
