Geocache Description:

Cache is a P&G in a busy area.  Please watch for muggles.  Cache container is magnetic. Bring your own pen. No room for trade items.

This is our first cache, placed with our two grandsons.  It is a P & G which brings you to Lohman, a small town founded in 1882.  The town might actually date from the early 1850's with the establishment of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (est. 1852).  The railroad  was constructed through the present town-site in 1881.  Before being named after Charles W. Lohman, much of the area was known as Stringtown.  Today, Lohman has a bank, post office and feed store and hair salon with a population of 168.  The old mill and the old jail still stand.  The historic Lo-Mo Club still stands near the new bridge that was put in this summer. Congratulations to pnpure for the FTF.
