The cache is at the listed coordinates. However, you may not log this cache as found unless you complete 2 requirements. The cache you will be looking for is an ammo can hidden in 9 Mile Prarie.
We have traveled many miles searching for geocaches, and after a trip out west we realized that we had accomplished something that would make a good challenge. We have found a cache in every state surrounding our home state, Nebraska. When looking at this on our map, it looks like we have "secured our borders". This is the challenge required to find this cache. Whatever state you reside in, or your "home state", you must find at least one cache in every state that shares a border with yours. Residing in Nebraska, this means that we found and logged caches in South Dakota, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Colorado, and Wyoming. Depending on what state you reside in will determine how many other states you will need to fulfill this requirement.
Once you have completed this challenge you then have to find this cache and sign the logbook. I would ask that you do not hunt this cache until after you have "secured your borders".
If a cacher from far away finds themselves here they may have to adjust some of the requirements. For example, if a cacher that resides in Hawaii finds their way to Nebraska geocaching, then they get a free pass since Hawaii borders no other state or country. If a cacher comes from a state bordering another country, such as Canada, then they would need finds from the Canadian territories bordering their state. You get the idea, right?
When someone logs this cache found I will check their statistics to verify they have met the requirements. If they have not, or their name is not in the actual logbook, their log will be deleted.
We have left a $5 bill with the logbook as a FTF prize. We also dropped a travel bug in the cache for someone to move along. We also stocked the cache full of other fun swag,
So if you do not yet qualify for this cache, get the map out and fill up the gas tank, there is a lot to see out there and a lot of caches to find! Thanks for playing!
