The North Palestine Cemetery is located in the northern part of Benton County on Palestine Road. From Corvallis drive East on Highway 20 toward Albany, to the intersection with Independence Road and turn left. Follow that road for 3.4 miles to Palestine Road and turn right. It is just 1.2 miles further to the cemetery, which is on the north side of the road and is enclosed by a metal fence.

The second oldest marked burial, 1881, is that of Smiley CARTER of Illinois who immigrated to Oregon in 1846. Some of the stones in this cemetery were 'signed' by the stone carvers--HARRIS & GILLET, and M. N. KECK, Albany.
