Geocache Description:


This is the last in the Aunt and Uncle Series of BennyKidd R's Aunts and Uncles Caches. Aunt Bert and Uncle Pat lived here in Lumsden for as many years as R can remember before selling the home located right here and moving out to Airdrie Alberta to be close to daughter J and her family. R used to spend many many holidays summer and winter here as a teenager. Dad and Mom would put R on the rail liner that ran from Saskatoon to Regina back in the days when R was a teen.(Most today will not even know what a Rail Liner is) Aunt Bert was another "Special" Aunt to R and had a special place in ALL our families hearts right up until her passing in her 90's. R LOVED to come here to Ride Horses,hike the hills, tobbogan in winter behind the house--hang out and read comic books and just plain "Be Spoiled" by Aunt Bert.Cousin J is still a Special cousin and Again we could go on and on with stories of the Fun Holidays spent here. Ask R about the horeback ride on Casey one day or the rideson Satin and Beauty with R's cousin B from Saskatoon who probably spent more time here than R did.Uncle Pat and Aunt Bert had many many animals and birds here from Pigeons of ALL kinds,Guiena Fowl,Peacocks,donkeys,mules,goats,cows,dogs and many many beautiful horses of all sizes.Throughbreds to Shetlands.This was "THE" place to spend a holiday and our kids LOVED to come here and to visit with Aunt Bert in Airdrie--Our daughter C loved to hang out in the dog house with Didi Aunt Bert loved to walk and would walk for miles Every day year round into her 90's and as long as R can remember she only had one lung. Aunt Bert WAS a VERY SPECIAL Aunt and we are GLAD to have Permission from Brad the current owner of the home here to place this very Special and Last cache in the series in tribute to a Favorite Aunt--Aunt Bert.Many Many FOND Memories will ALWAYS Be Here for R.
