No.2 Ratby Burroughs Round - Martinshaw View Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

chev&ossie: Checked out after a couple of recent DNFs, think it has indeed gone missing, so as we have done with all our missing caches, we’ve decided to archive it. A shame, but we can’t keep replacing them just for them to be taken again

Geocache Description:

For full description of this set of caches please see No.1 Ratby Burroughs Round.
There is additional parking at the side of the road close to this cache.
As you head up the hill you will pass by the sites of 2 previously important old Ratby locations. On the left, built into the bank, used to be a wooden hut which was the local fish and chip shop, now long gone. The hut was big enough to hold tables and chairs to allow people to sit in and eat. On the right, in what now appears to be a garage, was the local Smithy.
On your right is an inn. This was originally a farm, and in an inventory from 1695 it shows that ale was already being brewed here.

Home made cache.

Congrats to The Herds on being FTF
