Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of caches we have put out in the Kingswear area which take you to some lovely view points over the river Dart and Dartmouth. None of the caches are difficult to find it really is more about sharing these special places with fellow cachers. Mostly they can be done as cache and dashes but you could choose to walk as the parking is difficult particularly in the tourist season. (but be warned its hilly).

The ferry is owned and operated by the South Hams District Council. It is operated by unpowered ferry pontoons, carrying up to 8 cars each. Each ferry pontoon is pushed and pulled by a tug boat and, when traffic demands, two such ferry/tug combinations are used in service at the same time
