Much Hoole Ramble #3 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

DP13: The hint item was still there, it was a signpost which had just been taken out and led down on the ground, but there was no sign of the cache or the brick which it was sat in. This cache always got a bit muddy and attracted slugs, so wasn't the best anyway.

Geocache Description:

This cache contains some information to help you find the final in the series.  Please bring your own pen.

This cache is located just on the bank that follows the River Douglas. Once you have found this cache, it is recommended to carry on in a straight line to follow the bank around the river, rather than taking the shorter route to the left (both are public footpaths but this one is the way to follow the 3 mile circuit). Between this cache and the next you will go past what remains of the River Douglas bridge that was built over the river for the West Lancs Railway. This link gives a little background http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/r/river_douglas/index.shtml, but more information on the railway can be found by quick online searches and there is also the nearby WLR series of caches to do which provide further information (though some are premium member only now).

Congratulations to Avos72 on FTF (again!).
