Geocache Description:

This cache will take you down a trail in a really nice, wooded park in San Pedro.

It was a beautiful fall afternoon, and I was out geocaching (of course).  I passed by this large park I had never been to before (surprising).  And I had a new cache, ready to go, sitting in my backpack (what are the odds?).  A quick check of my GPS showed there were no other caches within a tenth of a mile, so it was clear there was only one possible course of action.  This park needed a cache!

After parking, I found that this park is called Peck Park.  It has the usual play equipment and basketball courts, but most of the park is a wooded area with a stream and jogging trails.  There's a surprisingly deep and quiet valley in this otherwise busy suburban area.  After a few minutes' walk down the trail, I was surrounded by the sounds of nature.  It was quiet enough that I could hear the individual wingbeats of the large black crows overhead.  Sure, there was still a little occasional noise from motorcycles out on Western Ave but I was able to pretend that was just ambience .

You're looking for black magnetic key holder.  BYOP.  There is room for very small tradeables.  I only had a few erasers with me as initial swag, so I hope future cachers can improve on this!

The cache is wedged pretty tightly into its spot.  When replacing it, please don't push it far back or the next cacher will have a lot of difficulty retrieving it.

My GPS battery died shortly after taking readings for this cache listing.  I checked against Google Maps and modified the latitude slightly; the longitude was in agreement.  If you think the coords are really off please let me know.
