Eola Bend Marion County Park Traditional Cache
Bandmaster: It is always difficult to archive a geocache after years of enjoyment; however, while appreciating all the the people who have found Eola Bend Marion Park, I must yield this area and open it up to others who will respect it in my absence.

The Marion County River Restoration Project area (Eola Bend County Park) is located approximately 2 miles up-stream from downtown Salem along the Willamette River, southwest of Minto Brown Island Park
More than 45,000 native trees and shrubs of more than 40 species were planted in April 2000 by many volunteers, businesses, and governmental agencies assisting Marion County in developing the River Restoration Plan.
Most people enter this area thinking it is the remote back area of Minto-Brown Island City Park. Surprise! Not really! Now you know better but most likely don't care. It just means that this area is funded and maintained by Marion County instead of the City of Salem.
More and more geocaches have been hidden in this area over the years. This is one of them. I wish you good hunting and like I've said before with my two other hides on Minto-Brown Island Park, you will need to think outside the box if you want to log this cache.
