Geocache Description:

I placed this cache whilst doing a loop of the Kura and Omanawanui tracks. The loop itself took a group of 10 of us just on 5 hours to do (but can be done much quicker if you're in a hurry). Distance was almost 8.5km for the entire loop, so it makes for a good day out!

There is a quick way to do this cache and a more involved way depending on how much walking you feel like doing. I recommend walking up the Kura Track to get here, it's approximately 4km of good old Waitakere bush, with a few easy stream crossings thrown in for good measure. I didn't get my feet wet during the crossings so they shouldn't cause any issues (always be aware of the weather conditions however).

When you get to the Puriri Ridge trail, go to the right to come to this cache, otherwise taking a left hand will take you towards this cool old cache: GCA617.

You're looking for a 500ml sistema hidden on the edge of the path. GPS accuracy was not ideal at the time of placement but GZ should be obvious on approach. Please advise if you take better coordinates.
