Geocache Description:


Come out and join us for a camp out in the
Osceola National Forest!

The event and camp out will be at the East Tower Campground on Saturday December 8th.
Campers, trailers, pop ups are are welcome. Just remember no hook ups.....

There is no fee to camp!


We will meet at the East Tower/ posted coords @ 9:00 a.m.

A guided off road tour/run will be provided by the one and only horseshoechamp.

The tentative schedule for the event camp out is:

9:00 a.m: Arrival of cachers/meet and greet.

10:00 a.m. to whenever: Set up camp, socialize with other cachers, trail ride, games, caching, eating, hanging out with others and more caching.

5:00 p.m: Old fashion hotdog roast

6:30 p.m: Sit around the fire pit and talk all things Geocaching!!

8:00 p.m: Night hike for a night cache.... you will need a flashlight!


We will provide the hotdogs, hotdog buns, chips and condiments for the roast.

Below is a list of things you may need.

Things to bring

•Water or water containers for all your needs
•Food for your group needs for the length of your stay
•Paper plates, cook ware, etc.
•Bring orange or bright colored clothes, because hunters may be in the area!
•Things to keep you warm......
•GPS
•Camp chairs

Over nighters

•Tent, sleeping bags etc.
•Bug stray for setting around camp fire
•Camp lights or flashlight
•Firewood

If you are not planning on spending the night that is OK too, come on out and spend the day with us!

For those that want to attend the event but don't want to "rough it"..... You can camp at Ocean Pond Campground. There is a fee and you will need to reserve your spot. Ocean Pond is about 12-15 miles from the event.
