The route approximates to a figure of eight but it is also possible to complete the 2 loops separately. The southern loop (1-12 & 31-34) is easily accessible as it goes through Birling village, whilst the northern loop (17-30 & 13-16) can also be reached from the village via a path, along which I have placed two linking caches (16A & 16B). Car parking is available in Birling behind the church. The 36 caches incude 7 multis and 1 puzzle cache and are best completed in ascending order to avoid additional legwork. If the two loops are completed separately the multis at 12 & 30 will involve a short diversion from each loop.
The new route for the Snodland Circuit has become necessary because one of the bridle paths on the original circuit has been poorly maintained of late and has become virtually impassable during the summer months with the rapid growth of nettles and brambles. On the new route, 21 are new caches and 15 remain unchanged from the original series.
To avoid later problems, please replace the containers carefully, exactly as found, reinstating any camouflage so as not to leave any caches unduly exposed.
At the end of the walk, refreshments are available a short distance from the parking area.
