This geocache has been placed on the grounds of Egremont castle. The castle is lovely to walk around, but please do be aware - it is a popular tourist place and also popular with locals.
The castle is open from 8am to 6pm (or sunset, whenever is earlier)
The Cache has been placed on a wall within the "central area" of the castle. From the cache site behind you, you have the incredible view of the old windows of the great hall. From the cache site you have a amazing view of the "Great Windows" of the castle, and views of farmland with Thornhill in the distance. Please can you make sure that you put the cache back exactly where you found it. Friends of Egremont Castle have been kind enough to give permission for hiding this cache but accept no responsibility for while you are on their property.
