Troll's Pass Traditional Cache

Located in the vicinity of the ATV bike path trestle on the Sheepscot River in Whitefield Salmon Preserve 1/2 mile in and 250 feet (hike) off the Salmon Trail. The trestle will be visible when you reach the scenic overlook area of the park. This cache is a medium size gray and red coffee container holding a log and a few items (please bring something to write with). The terrain will be swampy and steep in places so use caution when venturing to this cache from the Salmon Trail over to the trestle area and back. Parking available at preserve entrance on Howe Rd. which is on W side of river. (IMPORTANT)Please do not try to access the trestle from the path marked No Trespassing at the end of Trestle Ln. which is off Mills Rd on east side of river. The cache is located in the northwestern area of trestle whereas the private property signs are located on the southeastern corner, so my advice is to only access this cache through the salmon preserve to respect the property owners wishes. I believe the path is a snowmobile trail in the winter and the cache area may be visible in the winter depending on how much snow accumulation there is. Please use caution in and around the trestle.
