Geocache Description:

Anson Rogers was an early Coos Bay resident who, for a time, owned the Central Hotel. On Sunday, March 31, 1892, the Marshfield Sun reported, "Anson Rogers of Coos River is making two cheeses a day." He died on Christmas day, 1913. This location marks a dedication to his life.

In 2008, Peekaboo21 planted a cache near this location, calling it “Anson-Rogers Bridge”. But in 2011, when the bridge underwent some much-needed repairs, the cache was lost, and later archived. Now, for your great pleasure, it has returned, in a somewhat more secure location.

Safe parking near the cache is ample and visible. There is no need to walk on any roads to retrieve the cache. Notice the historic plaque (though this is not a clue). Make sure the cache is re-hidden well for the next cacher.
