Lightning Strike - ISLAND MADNESS Traditional Cache

For this holiday season we, Fanasfreaks and Davidandbritt, wanted to do something special for all our fellow caching friends. We wanted to give a geo-gift that would continue giving for quite some time. After over three months of paddling, our gift was complete. We hope you enjoy it!!! Have Fun!!!
 

This cache is one of 100 stand alone caches placed on Lake Lanier as a Christmas gift to our fellow geocachers.  Each of the 100 caches contains a letter/number combination.  Make sure to write those down.  You will need those to solve the 5/5 Island Madness Challenge Cache.

While wandering around this island we noticed all of the charred stumps.  So that makes us believe that either it was struck by lightning or the nearby campfire got out of control.  Would like to think that the damage was caused by mother nature and not careless man.  But we all know better than that.

With all of the burning that occured on the island, be careful as you are walking around.  There are a lot of burnt out stump holes that you could step in.  Almost stepped in one myself.
