Red Leg - ISLAND MADNESS Traditional Cache

 For this holiday season we, Fanasfreaks and Davidandbritt, wanted to do something special for all our fellow caching friends. We wanted to give a geo-gift that would continue giving for quite some time. After over three months of paddling, our gift was complete. We hope you enjoy it!!! Have Fun!!! 
 

This cache is one of 100 stand alone caches placed on Lake Lanier as a Christmas gift to our fellow geocachers.  Each of the 100 caches contains a letter/number combination.  Make sure to write those down.  You will need those to solve the 5/5 Island Madness Challenge Cache.

The king of battle.  The artillerymen.  So why are they the king and the infantry are the queen of battle?  Think of chess.  The king moves one space at a time in any direction.  The queen also moves in any direction, but as far as they want to.  Well how far and fast can you move a 10,000 lb chunck of steel and 100 pound rounds? 

But I know I loved hearing those volkswagon bugs (155 high explosive dual purpose rounds) flying thru the air when I was in a firefight.  Maybe the background image was headed my way even!

You won't be loading a howitzer like the redlegs of today.  More like the redlegs of old.
