Geocache Description:

My favorite place to go in Newburyport.  Fell in love with the place when I came here to find Stumpus El Moseley.

This cache is located in the Moseley Woods in Newburyport.  This is my first cache and hopefully a good one. I found this place after searching for a cache that is not to far away from this one.  So you can make this a twofer. The view of the river from this location is great.  Where else can you see three bridges that are very different from each other?  First one is a Chain bridge then the new swing drawbridge in honor of 1st Lieutenant Derek S. Hines Memorial Bridge and the 6 lane I-95 Bridge.  When I first came to this park one of the bridges was under construction so it was really easy to get in and out of the park.  Now that bridge is complete and the traffic is back so be careful when exiting the park since it is a 5 way intersection.  The park is open every day from dawn to dusk. And the parking lot and restrooms are seasonal from April 15 to around November 15.

This Park has many trails and a nice little playground with some cool dinosaur climbing toys. After finding the cache you can enjoy a picnic at one of the many picnic tables or benches along the river.  Starting the spring of 2013 you can watch them tear down and rebuild the I-95 Bridge which should be done by 2016.

This is a micro and you will need tweezers to remove the log from the cache. Please roll up the log and make sure the cap is fully closed to keep the cache nice and dry.

Please replace the cache were you found it to keep it hidden from Muggles.  This cache is located away from the parking lot and playground so some stealth will be needed. Congrats to Froedo Bagginz, Lasa(Hostahead), Windwalker1 and Wolftamer! for the co-FTF!
