Legend says the pickle is a symbol of good luck. Tradition has it that the pickle is the last ornament placed on the Christmas tree. The first child to find the pickle on Christmas morning was rewarded with an extra gift left by St. Nicholas. This tradition encourages children to appreciate all the beautiful ornaments on the tree, rather than rushing to see what Santa has left them.
To get to the cache take a very short walk down a nice trail. Terrain is a "2" because of the little hill and many sticks to be walking over. Please close the plastic bag inside the cache tightly to keep the contents nice and dry. Cache contains swag, a log and a pencil.
