Everyone has heard of the Mobile Leprechaun, right? Well if you haven't, just google it and it should pop up. But did you know Mobile has a colony of gnomes?
For those of us in the know, it's well understood that leprechauns and gnomes are generally friendly toward one another. That is, until it comes to the things they treasure. Leprechauns love of gold is well known, but gnomes have no love for soft shiny rocks.
Gnomes do have a love for two things though, flowers and trinkets. Everyone knows of the garden gnomes in everyone's yard where they stand like statues transfixed by the beautiful colors of the flowers and shrubs. But less known is the wild gnomes and their love of trinkets, which they often hide in plastic waterproof containers in the wild.
For some reason the gnomes believe the leprechauns want their treasures so they guard them fiercely and there is a sizable wild gnome population in the Mobile, AL area.
Be on the lookout for the fierce gnome warrior, George and his trusty steed Tommy (so named by my wife), of the Gnomish Turtle Cavalry. While they look peaceful they will charge a leprechaun and run him down on sight and with no mercy, well they would if they were mounted on something other than a turtle. Generally they tend to freeze and appear almost statue like when humans are near so you should be safe. You will probably find one of these proud mounted warriors guarding a cache, and feel free to take something but leave something in return. Wild gnomes love new stuff and are willing to trade.

Please replace as found and camouflage it so the leprechauns and Muggles can't find it.
