A friend has shown me this place. Her father and his mates discovered it while looking for a cool shady place to have their lunch when they were working on building the new Hervey Range Road in the 1970s.
I am not 100% certain, but I think that at least a part of these rock paintings are genuine aboriginal art. Please feel free to post your opinion on it 
Since I don't know if this site is 'sacred' in any way, the actual cache is not right under the rock overhang but close by.

Coming from the city, there is a convenient spot for you to pull off the road just a very short distance past where your GPS points up the hill.
