Geocache Description:

New container now relocated.

After the cache was muggled and disappeared for the second time, it has been relocated in a new container, fingers crossed this one stays the test of time.

Please unscrew the container, rather than take the cache off what it's secured to, thanks.

You're looking for a small camouflaged micro cache (a bit smaller than a 35mm film case) with log only, so you will need to bring something to write with to sign the log rolled up inside the cache which is hanging around.

The cache is located along a narrow, footpath that connects St Johns Road to Hill Road and runs along the railway that cuts through the South East corner of East Oakley.

It's fairly muggle free, but you can be caught out by dog walkers who are about the only other people likely to use this footpath as cyclists normally use an alternative route to get to/from the roads already mentioned.

After a good amount of rain, it can be very slippery and get a little soggy in places too, more so towards the North Eastern end than the South Western end. It is also quite narrow and slopping in places making it tricky to access by any means other than foot and you will want sensible walking boots if it is raining, or has been raining recently.

It could be done as a cache and dash from the parking co-ordinates, which are the same for another of our caches, Mouse Tree, which is on a somewhat more accessible and easier to navigate footpath.

GPS co-ordinates have been averaged out via a dozen readings with the worst ones removed from the calculations and I feel confident that they should get you really close. But, if you are struggling, there's always the hint to get you out of trouble.
