[ITA] Una multi-cache che vuole essere un invito alla visita delle trincee restaurate sul Monte Palon. Il percorso richiede circa 40 minuti, ed è lungo circa 1 km.
[ENG] This multi-cache will lead you in the visit to the recently restored trenches on Mount Palon. The tour can be made in about 40 minutes, being long about 1 km.
[ITA] Il percorso della memoria sul Monte Palon è stato realizzato nel 2004 dal Gruppo Alpini di Possagno per onorare la memoria di quanti su queste montagne hanno combattuto, hanno sofferto e sono caduti nei tragici eventi della Prima Guerra Mondiale e per riaffermare il valore primario della pace e della fratellanza tra i popoli.
Il recupero ha interessato il tratto che dal rifugio porta alla cima del Monte Palon, da quota 1205 a quota 1306 metri s.l.m., con la riapertura di 1000 m di trincee, 300 m di gallerie e la sistemazione di baraccamenti e appostamenti.
Il percorso è adatto a bambini dai 5 anni in poi, e le gallerie possono essere esplorate con l'aiuto di una torcia elettrica. Le baracche alla fine del sentiero sono attrezzate a bivacco; in esse è possibile un ricovero di emergenza tutto l'anno.
Si tratta di un luogo di grande valore storico e culturale, che merita una visita rispettosa. Non dimenticate una penna per il log!
[ENG] The memorial trail in the Mount Palon area has been realized by the Alpini Group of Possagno in year 2004 to honor the memory of all the men that fought, suffered and died over these mountains during the tragic events of the WWI, and to reaffirm the primary value of peace and brotherhood among peoples.
Reparations have affected the trail that leads from the hut to the summit of Monte Palon, from an altitude of 1205 to 1306 m above sea level, with the reopening of 1000 m of trenches, 300 m of tunnels and the renovation of barracks and observatories. The trail is suitable for the visit of children older than 5 years, and tunnels can be explored with the help of a flashlight. The barracks at the end of the trail have been set up as a bivouac, an emergency shelter open all year long.
The place has a great historical and cultural value, and deserves a respectful visit. Don't forget a pen for the log!
