Back in the 60's and 70's, when I was growing up here, The Harbor Gateway was called "The Strip". It was a great place to grow up! The neighborhood was full of kids and we were always outside doing something. Another one of my favorite memories was around Halloween time, when my dad would drive us kids past the the "Great Pumpkin", which always seemed to appear at the refinery on Anaheim Street in early October. We could have driven by this thing a hundred times and each time was just as exciting as the first! This year is special, the Great Pumpkin is celebrating it's 60th year, so go take a look before he disappears! You are looking for a Black MAGNETIC, log only NANO, so BYOP and a set of tweezers. I have included a spoiler picture, as I wouldn't want you to have to hang out at GZ too long. You never know who might be sleeping near by! Also, watch your step and keep an eye out for dirty diapers in the area! Parking is non-existent on Anaheim Street, but if you approach from the east, you can whip in and park in the dirt, right at GZ. Please be VERY CAREFUL when pulling back out onto the street!!!!!!
