This cache was placed by Sea Scout Ship Luna #336 of the Boy Scouts of America's Northern Trails District. It contains a hint for one of the 12 points of the Boy Scout Law. Eventually, all 12 points should be available in caches that highlight Eagle projects throughout the District. One would need to know which point of The Boy Scout Law corresponds with each Cache to Eagle # in order to prove they'd been to all 12. What better way to spend the day outdoors than sailing in Chequamegon Bay? Stop at a “String of Pearls” and enjoy a picnic with your family under a fine pavilion while seated at sturdy tables. Learn about the pearls of Lake Superior by reading signs on an educational kiosk. Scouts are deeply concerned with being good stewards of the environment and practice Outdoor Ethics to preserve nature. The kiosk was built as a 2012 Eagle Scout Project to share information about the unique estuarine ecosystems of the Bayfield Peninsula.
