Taking you back down Highway 91 to another historic hotspot from the 1960's: The Flame Restaurant and Steakhouse

This cache takes you back in time to the early 1960's- When one of the favorite places to go for dinner was just getting started. The Flame was a favorite of tourists, locals and celebrities for about 35 years. This cache takes you to almost the very spot the restaurant stood until it was demolished for the construction of the Desert Inn arterial under the Strip in the mid 1990's.
The Original neon sign from the restaurant was saved and restored and was lit up every night for you to see in Downtown Las Vegas on 3rd Street just north of Fremont St Experience, along with other restored neon from around the valley. Sadly all of the signs were removed without warning in about 2013 and have not been replaced.
There is plenty of parking near the cache site, and being Las Vegas, there will likely be plenty of muggles too, but like most of the caches on the Strip, they are usually too busy with their vacations to notice anything you are doing. Enjoy the area, and feel welcome to post pics of your journey, just dont post any spoiler photos- I reserve the right to remove them if they show too much or give away the hide.
Please be sure to replace the cache exactly as and where found, be gentle removing the log from the container, and please- NO STICKERS so that the log will fit back in. Cache is reachable from the sidewalk and NO BUSHWACKING is needed! Please leave all plants alone.
