1/ Log at least one cache for each level of Difficulty from 1 to 5.
For the purposes of this mini-challenge, half-star levels of difficulty will be rounded up to the next whole number. For example, a Difficulty level of 2.5 will count as a 3 star degree of Difficulty. The same rounding method will be used for terrain.
2/ Log one cache for each level of Terrain from 1 to 5.
3/ Log 5 different Categories of caches.
Options include (but are not limited to) CITO events, EarthCaches, Event caches, Letterbox Hybrids, Multi-Caches, Mystery Caches, Traditional Caches, Virtual Caches, Webcam Caches, and Wherigo Caches.
4/ Log caches from 5 different Cache Owners.
5/ Log 5 caches from within 25km of Taree, NSW.
For the purposes of this cache, the above coordinates of Taree’s Post Office will be used.
FINE PRINT:
Caches may simultaneously meet multiple categories. Theoretically (in the future), the requirements could be met with just 5 unique caches, or as many as 25, or any number in between that meets all of the criteria for the challenge.
* All caches must be from
Groundspeak/geocaching.com *
As a further challenge, at least FIVE of the caches listed must have been found since 5/5/12
This cache cannot be used as one of the qualifying caches.
For Premium Members:
Create a public bookmark list that includes your name in the title, eg, MAPs Manning Mini Matrix – Fred. Bookmark each of the qualifying caches and include, in the notes, the date found. For at least five caches, include the qualifying level of difficulty. For at least five, include the degree of terrain. For at least five, include the name of the cache owner. For at least five, include the cache type. And finally, for at least five caches indicate that it is a qualifying "Manning" cache.
When the bookmark list is complete, post a note on this cache page with the name of your public bookmark list.
To allow for peer review, please keep the list public for at least three months after completing the challenge. OR, for Basic Members, (like ourselves) you may type up all the qualifying caches, and their categories, as a Note before going for this cache.
The next step is to decode the following message to find out where you need to go for the cache. You will need to know the name of a (six-letter) local company which sells its products all over Australia – I’ve seen it sold in Cairns, Darwin and Perth (and obviously, Taree).

Then go look for the final cache! You may not log a "found it" on this cache until you have completed all of the challenge requirements.
