Geocache Description:

Daylight caching only on this one. Typical cemetery hide. Cache should be a quick find. Please be sure to bring a pen to sign the log.

A while back SpeedCity (Christina Poulter – CP) and gmarkusic (George Markusic - GM) went caching with me on a numbers run to Erie Pennsylvania that ended at a cache called “The Spot – GC39” in central New York State which ended up being my 8K Milestone. The trip lasted from 7am Saturday morning till 5am the next morning and a drive home from the cache of 242 miles. It was a great time with two very good friends. I could not have thought of a better way to find my 8K milestone.

A few days later I learned that the day we went to find my 8K was on a day they had planned to spend alone together. So I asked why they gave up a day alone to spend the day with me and they said that they wanted me to have a memorable 8K milestone. I thanked them and told Christina not to give up anymore days they planned on being alone for old Sarge. All I got in response was that odd look from Christina that she probable gives her kindergarten students.

Then a few weeks later I saw the caches publish for the Stark Pay It Forward Geo-trail along the bike trail. I called George and asked if he saw them. I said if you want to get a group together to do these let me know. George thought and said “well, we could go on the Sunday after the Fall Fling since there was nothing going on”. I said good deal, I'll be at your place to pick up you, BounceBunny and the bikes around 7am. As the day got closer we ended up with 12 people on the bike team. We ended up getting all the caches for a total of 140 finds for the day.

Halfway thru the bike trail Christina pulled up along side me and told me that this was supposed to be another “Alone Day”. I felt bad because this was the second time I had messed up her plans. She went on to tell me that the next “Alone Day” was on the caching calender that she shares with select friends for November 3rd. She went on to tell me not to make any plans with George for that day. I said no problem, and I again got that look that she must give her kindergarten students when she dosent really believe them.

I asked George later at a coffee event what she had planned for them for their alone day. He told me all he knew was not to make any plans.

So I got to thinking. Which is usually a bad thing. I figured they needed something to do, alone. And what better thing for cachers to do when spending time alone, than go out and find a few new caches.

Have fun guys and enjoy your “Alone Day”.
