This Geocache is located near the Church of Saint Anne (Sv. Ana) in Tunjice, a small hilltop village west of Kamnik. The church offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and holds a special place in local history.
A few historical facts about the site:
- In 1842, a hoard of Roman coins dating back to the 3rd to 5th centuries AD was discovered near the church.
- The church was also known for its unique “pew seating order”, a strict system that assigned seats based on social status. This tradition was observed until the end of World War II, and was unlike anything seen elsewhere in the region.
