All geocachers - both new and "old hat" - are more than welcome to this Event on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Go for a swim, a fish, or a paddle in a kayak - or just laze about in the park. Being a community-minded Event, the FTF caches and prizes have been created and donated by a variety of cachers.
The Venue
The Event will be held in Apex Park. There are some covered areas and barbeque facilities. There are toilets in nearby parks but not in Apex Park.
Start Time : 11:00 am
Please join us for a casual lunch and a barbeque. Bring your own food, drinks, utensils, chairs, etc. Donations of scrumptious food to the "Event Community" are always warmly welcomed
Prize and FTF Draws : 2:00 pm
Prize Draws
A geocaching supplier local to South-East Queensland has kindly donated some prizes.
FTF Draws
There will be three separate FTF Draws in the afternoon. It's up to you if you want to team up with others to get joint FTFs. (This might end up handy for some of the FTFs!) On the day, you can nominate to be in ONE of the following draws -:
High Terrain FTF Draw
This will require a boat or a kayak to get to. You may borrow a boat or a kayak from another cacher - or hire one. But be warned - getting to GZ is half the challenge!
Unknown / Mystery FTF Draw
For those that like to have a bit of a puzzle to solve. This cache will be able to be solved "onsite" at the Event. Bring your puzzle "tools"!
Regular Terrain FTF Draw
This one is more orientated to families and those that are not interested in the High Terrain or the Unknown / Mystery caches.
Caching in the Area
One of the reasons this area was chosen is because of the wide variety of caches. Bring (or borrow) a kayak or boat to do the caches on the northern tip of Bribie Island. If that is not necessarily your style, then there are many nearby "mainland" caches by the Sunshine Coast locals to enjoy.

We hope that you can join us
